• Urban Re Fabrication

  A project about British sustainability: bringing the textiles industry back to Britain. Reinvigorating an under used multi-storey car park in Bermondsey. The design plays on the traditional ideas of make-do-and-mend and industry at the heart of the community. The design itself uses two dynamic arms with which their movements change the use and access of the building and the adjacent park. Changing the space from a private textile factory and public garden, to a community centre. The last change sees the building transform into an amphitheatre for fashion and community shows.
